
DISCOVER TANZANIA WITH SHARON SAFARIS
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
INTRODUCTION
This is an agreement with Sharon Safaris and is subject to the following terms and conditions, which may be amended from time to time. These apply to all Sharon Safaris brochures and/or content published on the Sharon Safaris website. By making a booking with Sharon Safaris, the client is deemed to have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions and agreed to be bound by them.
TOUR BOOKINGS AND RESERVATIONS
All bookings require a 35% deposit of the total tour price per person. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 4 weeks prior to departure. Failure to meet this deadline may result in cancellation of the booking.
Bookings made within 30 days of the tour start date require full payment upfront.
Please ensure names, nationalities, and dates of birth provided match those in your passports.
A booking becomes a binding contract between the client and Sharon Safaris once the deposit is paid.
PAYMENT
All payments must be made via credit card, international money transfer (e.g., Wise/PayPal), or bank transfer (SWIFT). Processing may take 5–7 working days.
Payment confirmation will be sent via email.
If you wish to pay in a currency different from that on the invoice, please request the applicable exchange rate.
After booking confirmation, the 35% deposit must be paid immediately. The remaining 65% is due 4 weeks before arrival.
All payments must be notified by email with attached proof of transaction.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY SHARON SAFARIS
If Sharon Safaris must cancel a tour for any reason, an alternative will be offered, or a full refund will be provided.
Clients will be notified of cancellations no later than 15 days before the start of the tour.
In the event of force majeure (unforeseen circumstances beyond our control), refunds will be made, but Sharon Safaris is not liable for additional expenses. We will always attempt to offer an acceptable alternative.
CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS BY THE CUSTOMER
All cancellations or itinerary changes must be submitted in writing via email.
Itinerary changes are not permitted within 30 days of the tour date.
Cancellation charges:
40–25 days before trip: 40% fee
24–10 days before trip: 80% fee
9 days or less: 100% fee
Sharon Safaris will use the deposit to cover applicable cancellation charges and refund any remaining balance.
No-shows are non-refundable.
No refunds are given for unused portions of the tour or if the client fails to complete the tour for any reason.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In the case of death or serious illness prior to the tour, a 50% refund may be provided upon presentation and verification of official documents.
Sharon Safaris is not liable for injuries or death resulting from participation in inherently risky activities such as wildlife encounters, balloon rides, domestic flights, mountain climbing, or rafting.
CUSTOMER SPECIAL REQUESTS
Requests regarding meals, room types, disabilities, etc., must be submitted in writing via email at least one month in advance. While we will do our best to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee them.
ACCOMMODATION
Sharon Safaris will try to provide accommodation as listed in the itinerary but reserves the right to substitute with similar properties.
Clients may request alternative accommodation at their own expense if it costs more than the original plan.
TRANSPORTATION
Air, rail, road, and other transport schedules are subject to weather, traffic, and third-party service. Sharon Safaris is not liable for such delays but will do its best to resolve inconveniences.
All tours use private 4x4 safari jeeps, mini-buses, or shuttles, selected at the company's discretion based on the activity or destination.
SAFETY
Clients are responsible for obtaining travel insurance that covers accidents, emergencies, medical expenses, and loss/damage to property.
Clients must ensure valid travel documents and reconfirm all flights during the tour.
BEHAVIOR / CODE OF CONDUCT
Clients must act respectfully, avoid offensive language, obey site rules, and follow the guide's instructions.
Consumption of alcohol is only allowed when served by Sharon Safaris staff.
Misbehavior can result in immediate removal from the tour and potential ban from future services.

DATA PROTECTION
Your personal data (email, IP, contact info) is not shared with third parties except when required by Tanzanian government authorities for legal or safety reasons. Refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
PUBLICITY AND IMAGE USE RIGHTS
Photos and videos taken by Sharon Safaris during the tour may be used for marketing purposes WITH prior consent.
EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS POLICY
Sharon Safaris will only send you emails when you’ve agreed to receive updates about your reservation, promotions, or company news.
WEBSITE USE
Website content is subject to change at the discretion of Sharon Safaris.
CONTRACT AND JURISDICTION
All contracts between Sharon Safaris and the client shall be governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Legal matters shall be settled under the jurisdiction of the Courts of Arusha.
All contracts and amendments must be in writing.
